When I was a kid, I used to make presents for family from the various craft supplies we had in the sewing boxes at home. One year I spend the weeks before Christmas making little cross stitch decorations. And, because sometimes the universe gives you exactly what you need, at the exact moment you need it, we also came across a bag of old, wooden curtain rings, which made a perfect frame for my little creations.
My parents still have the ones I made them, more years ago now than I care to admit – and I still vividly remember stitching them too.
So, that’s what we’ll spend the morning doing in this workshop. I’ll walk you through the basics of counted cross stitch, and then you’ll be able to choose a little festive design to work on – and a little curtain ring to display it in as well.
I can accommodate children over about the age of 5 with their adult (younger children will work on larger, more basic designs). Older children and tweens will have a choice of slightly more complex designs to chose from. Price includes a space for both of you.
